Finally!!! Our mini family vacation to the beach arrived! Seemed like we waited so long and it was finally here. With the house full of excitement as we packed up, even Mr. Isaac seemed to sense that something was going on! He would say "Yay!" throughout the day! We were all very excited and much in need of this trip....
Here we go!
Logan playing games on Daddy's phone on the drive down. Yes, that is a beach chair-he actually wanted it there , haha :)
Laughing at the flash on the camera
Excited!
Showing me his toes :O)
I told him to show me his "excited for the beach" face... :O)
Taking pictures of himself :O)
We arrived safely within 3 hours!
Our first official day at the beach-come on sand and surf!
We found a great beach in Brigantine NJ near Atlantic City. It was very private, only a few families...we felt like we had the whole beach and Ocean to ourselves! :O)
The weather was perfect-not too hot. We stayed until about sunset. Beautiful afternoon on the beach.
Isaac's first time seeing the Ocean and sand!!!
Logan in the Ocean right away!
View of Atlantic City from our spot on the Beach
Awesome view down the beach...look at all the room we had!
Isaac chillin' and watching Daddy and Logan :)
Building a trench/wall to protect our things from getting wet! Way more fun then moving back :)
Watching the "tigers" :O)
"uh oh"
"ooh lets go play over there!!"
playing in a sand pool made by the sea water
"this is pretty fun!"
We were getting dried off and cleaned up and Matt was holding Isaac like this-I thought it was so cute so I took a few photos, as Logan played for a few more minutes :)
This caused me to get a little picture happy-but Mommy needs a few photo's too right? :)
Isaac had enough, but at least Matt and I got a few nice one's and then Logan came and joined us!
Great family beach photo! Good job Matt! :)
Goodbye Ocean! Now for some fun on the Ocean City Boardwalk!!
It is a theme now, every vacation we go on we seem to make a furry friend of some kind. This time it was a fox about the size of a small dog , that was a little too "friendly" for comfort. He was sitting on the path as we walked back to the car...
We thought it was a dog from far off but as we approached we quckly realized we were wrong...
It was a bit unsettling to be feet from a fox and also interesting at the same time -he seemed both comfortable around humans and frightened!
We got the story from a local as to how and why this wild animal , known to be normally frightened by humans, was coming so close to us. There is a woman who for 7 years has been cooking and bringing meat -and sacks full of it-to packs of foxes near by. Rumor has it that about 6am you can see the foxes sitting on the pathway waiting for her-or someone-to bring them meat. Apparently the adults are pretty large. Doesn't seem wise to me. .Guess you could call her the "fox whisperer" or "fox lady"!
Adios Mr. Fox!
Logan took a few photo's of our ride back to the hotel before he passed out for a nap...
Here you have the Trump Marina...
an ice cream truck...
and some very large wind mills! Happy snoozing Logan and Isaac!
Boardwalk time!
Logan really wanted this Dragon-and got it!
Isaac loved looking at everything and watching Logan!
weeee!!
Time for the Tilt-a-whirl! This was one of my favorite rides with my parents as a kid and it's now Logan's favorite!
I was a little whoozy after. I cant handle rides like I used too :(
Spinning balloon ride!
Photo 1-no Isaac :(
Photo 2-half Isaac :)
Fun night on the OC boardwalk!
2 worn out kids!
Logan the fish with the real (big) fish!
Stingray!
Even Nemo was there !
Moon Jellys. We saw one washed up on the beach and learned that these kind don't sting.
Logan petting a small harmless shark of some kind. Cool!!
They were very soft
This is fun!
Logan's favorite-the Lion fish
Exploring the Coral Reef
Acting like he is under water with the fish :)
The Eels. They did not appear to have much room...
Amazing color
Touching some star fish and shells in water
a very old Diving Suit!
We got to see lots of reptiles too! Lizards, snakes, frogs, toads, along with Turantulas and even some love birds :)
We were amazed at this big guy! Then we realized he wasn't breathing, or moving at all for a while. We think he must have died so they stuffed him....
Checking out the pool of small stingrays!
I think they were eyeing up Logan for lunch!
Wouldn't be a good day without seeing a Boa Consticter!
Logan got a little sunburn under his eyes at the beach, poor kid-he had puffy eyes and looked like the one was a black eye! He said it did not hurt though, thankfully :)
Checking out some reptiles
Next we went to the top to look out over the bay and Ocean. It was an over cast/windy/rainy day due to the tail end of Hurricane Earl.
The observation deck was closed due to the forecast.
This is the best photo of the Ocean I could get. The waves were pretty big and rough.
While we waited for the show to start, Isaac had fun giving Daddy some stuffed animals...
And Logan took some pretty awesome pictures!!
Love this one!
Mini Shark! But big to us!
Time for the show! He brought out a Tarantula named Lola, a Boa, another small snake, a huge Tortoise named Boop, and a Chinchilla.
He was moving allot so we couldn't get good photo's. We took mostly videos.
Such a great vacation!! Time to head home, but as Logan said "I am ready to go home, I miss Tiger" :O)
Until next time....
Now our fun adventure of Cyber home school starts on Tuesday!
What a great vacation!!! And Isaac is getting so big!!
