~ No Tricks But Lots Of Treats! ~

Our first trick or treat night in our new neighborhood was a success! Grammy and Grandpa came up to see the kids dressed in their costumes and to give out candy for us while we walked the kids around the neighborhood.  Mom recently hurt her knee very bad while trick or treating with my Brother's family. She fell hard and she cannot walk on her knee but she still wanted to come up and see the kids! She is a trooper :)

Enjoy!

 *Isaac loved Grammy's hat :)

*My poor Mom. Still smiling though! :)

*Logan as "Night Fury" from the movie How To Train Your Dragon (which is a really cute movie btw ).  His wings weren't working very well in the wind so he decided to go without them.

*Isaac as a little Monkey with a Banana peel on his head :)

*Mom and Dave taking refuge from the chilly wind in our garage :) Thanks for your help guys!

*Some fun pictures :)

~ Birthday Photo's ~

Some great pictures from my Birthday "party" on Monday evening. Thanks Mom :O)

(It seems that I may have copied them wrong, so they turned out smaller but you can still see our fun evening :) )

*Logan helped me blow out candles :)

*Then Isaac wanted a turn :)

*Our friend Mike stopped by to celebrate with us! He was Logan's best friend that day :)

*Isaac hamming it up for Grammy :) He just finished eating some of Grandpa Dave's delicious cake! (as you can see on his face, hehe ).

*Logan and Isaac giving Mommy big birthday "hugs" :)

*I am not sure if this is from my Birthday but Mom sent this and it's so cute of Logan, I had to share :)

* Hands On Learning *

Logan's lesson in Science this week involves learning about various rocks and soil. We decided it would be fun to get outside and have some hands on learning with rocks! So, Logan and his friend Shane went on a "rock hunt" and found some awesome rocks!

*Isaac is excited to go on a rock hunt!

*Having a blast in the wagon!

 *Hunting for awesome rocks!

 *Tiger playing hide-n-seek :)

*The boys being little Scientists :) They found some pretty interesting rocks! Logan is cleaning them off with a paint brush :)

Pumpkins!

We started carving and decorating our pumpkins this weekend! We have a few more to carve yet but we have most of them done...

We will post photo's of our trick or treat night Friday :O)

*The Last Year of My Twenties*

It has come. I do not know how. It flew by and now I am officially in my very last year of my twenties. I have never looked at age as anything but a number. But for some reason, being 29 has hit me in some way I was not expecting. I mean, it's not really a big deal..turning 29.  I don't mind turning 30 next year or being in my 30's. You cannot stop the aging process so why fight it. Yet, why has this year's birthday felt so different from others? 20 and 21 were exciting...entering the 20's-no longer a "teen". 25 was exciting, Mid 20's-more "mature" and respected. But, 29.....well , I can't say it's "exciting"...but it isn't depressing either. Just sort of a "reflective" feeling. A feeling of "well, this phase of life is soon over" . But, being of the nature to take on challenges with mostly a positive attitude and see the potential to learn and grow...I look forward to turning 30 and all the many adventures my 30's will bring!

As usual, my family is wonderful at making me feel special on my birthday no matter how old I am. You can always count on your Mom to remember and celebrate your birthday! My Mom and her husband Dave came up yesterday evening and brought a delicious dinner, cake that Dave made, and a few gifts. Matt came home with beautiful flowers in hand and a friend of our's stopped by to wish me a happy birthday as well! The evening was filled with laughter and love and I am grateful  for it. It is nice to be remembered on your birthday :)

Fun At The Orchard

This Saturday was incredibly warm and beautiful in Pa! With Logan starting to feel much better from his ear infection and the day looking very inviting, we headed outside and down the road for an afternoon of fun at a family Orchard near our house. Enjoy our adventure! :)

*Logan was so happy to be out of the house finally and in the fresh warm air :) Here he is about to go through a maze in the barn.

*Getting ready to walk through the second maze :)

*Can you spot Matt and Isaac? :)

*Logan and Matt playing Apple Checkers

*Isaac loved sitting on the Tractor! He kept saying "vroom vroom" :)

 *Isaac's view from the Tractor

*He wanted to see the big tires...then he said "Ew!" They were pretty dirty ;)

*He wanted up to see the playhouse, then wanted back down right away :) The little boy behind him shared Logan's name! :)

 *He loved the slide!

 *Collision! :)
*While Daddy and Logan chased each other through the maze one last time, Isaac played with the corn and trucks-he did not want to leave after discovering this! :)

 *Worn out but happy :)
