~ LOGAN'S 8th BIRTHDAY PARTY~

 July 29, 2010-Logan's 8th Birthday!

As is normal with every birthday that comes along, we cannot believe our Logan is 8 years old! How time flies...I can hardly imagine how we will feel in 10 years when we are celebrating his 18th Birthday!!! But, I will slow down and just enjoy them one at a time :O)

We had a party for Logan at Chuck E.Cheese on Sunday July 25th....he said it was his favorite birthday party yet! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Logan's Birthday!! And for those that could not make it, we missed you :O)

Logan and his friend Shane waiting for family and friends to arrive! Logan was so excited and I think Shane was nervous since he "didn't know anybody" :O) He ended up having a blast!

Daddy holding Isaac up so he can watch the dancing Chuckie on stage.

Logan and his friend playing some games before the party...

Isaac joined in on the fun too!

My grandparents came and had a blast!
My brother, Shawn and his son Cody. Cody and Isaac called each other before the party so they could wear matching outfits! Amazing...

An awesome party for an awesome boy!!

*Be sure to check out the next post titled "8 Amazing Years" or something like that. I will have photo's of Logan from baby on up to now and memories along with photo's from his actual birthday at home.*

~* Virginia Vacation *~

Saturday , July 3 , we packed up the car and the kids and headed to Roanoke, Va to visit our friends and have a mini holiday vacation! The kids were ready to go!

Of course we had to stop and take some "goodbye PA" pictures before heading out on our long journey! :O)

Grabbing some things for the road!

Nap time already!

See you in a few hours , Isaac! :O)

About mid drive things always get a little hairy-but we all hung in there!

Time for a break....only an hour left!

Pretty view for a gas station rest stop!

Attempting a picture of the brothers....Take 1...

Take 2....hmmm..ok, we will just give up on that! :O)

Nice grins from Mr. Isaac :O)

There you go Isaac! Good job ;O)

After our rest stop we decided to take the scenic route the rest of the way, so we drove up the Blue Ridge Parkway/Jefferson National Forrest! It was so much fun! Not to mention-beautiful!

We made a friend along the way too....

That was exciting! :O)

Next was the long and really fun trip up the mountain....

We put our windows down to experience the fresh mountain air...Logan had so much fun! We were "Bear Watching" :O)  Isaac seemed to have a good time...well, he didn't cry at least! :)

Next are some photo's of our trip up the mountain. I took so many and chose the ones I felt captured the experience best...

It was a VERY curvy ride...of course making it all the more fun!

Almost to the top!

Reached the top -and what a gorgeous reward waiting for us!
This sure is God's Country!!

Of course we have to take a very short walk into the woods on a little trail. We didn't get far...for fear of Lions, Tigers and Bears, Oh My! :O)

That was a great time together! Now time to head to The Brook's new home!

Driving down the other side of the mountain...

Huge and gorgeous mountain in front of us as we approach the stop sign to the main road which will take us to Adam and Candice's new home.

The Home Stretch!

I took this photo through the mirror in my visor...

We have arrived!!! Whew! After  7 long hours...we made it in one piece, and we Thank GOD for that :O)

I wanted to take more photo's of their new place and post them, but i 1)forgot to take more as they set it up..and 2) probably shouldn't post with out their ok..so I will just post the few I took the first night we were there. They had gone back to their old place to get some more things so we stayed at the new apartment and relaxed.

Love this one :O)
Into the back pack while we set up the air mattresses :O) He was pretty tired and fussy at this point so the back pack always helps in those times!

Sleepy boy!

Adam and Candice have two children...this is the youngest, Sonja....pretty cat :O)

And this is their oldest daugther, Maya :O) Such a sweetie!

Candice and her first baby :O)

Good night Maya! First day down...two to go!

DAY 2!

We went to visit our friends from The Freedom Center Church! One of the families had a cookout and everyone we wanted to see was there...with their babies!!!

Isaac with our friends Erin and Jonathon's baby girl, Brenna-4 months old. It was July 4th so all the kids were festive naturally :O)

Our friends April and Jeremy had a little guy , London, that is now 8 months old! This was our first time meeting him :O)

Micah won!                                           Matt playing with London :O)

After the cookout with the TFC friends, we headed back to Adam and Candice's place for a second cookout with them and their family and friends!! So much fun! :O)

*Adam and Matt cooking some grub!

*Jeremy, Jeff and Denise-Adam's Brother -in- laws and Dad.

Logan took this pic of London-baby Elvis!

We had a great time at both cookouts! When we were done, we headed to the pool area with the kids so Logan could have a quick swim before the fireworks. It was a gorgeous evening.

Watching Logan swim around!

After this we went back , changed and headed up on the hill for an awesome display of fireworks. You could see 3 or 4 different displays from where we were on the hill :O)

The next day, Monday July 5, we spent almost the entire day at the pool! It was so hot and so much fun to just cool off in the pool all day. Isaac had a great time too! I think we were so busy with having fun together that we forgot to take pictures of it!

It was a great July 4th vacation and we thank Adam and Candice for having us over to their new place and putting up with us when they just moved in! :O)

Until the next adventure....
